Lauterstein-Conway's student massage clinic provides discount massage therapy sessions in its Student Clinic throughout the year.
Scheduling for September and October appointments is now available by
scheduling calendar.
The professional massage training curriculum includes Swedish as well as Sports, Deep and Clinical Massage Therapy and Integrative Session Design. All training is built on a solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
- Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, reduce muscle tension and enhance circulation. Swedish massage is considered very safe for most people.
- Sports Massage uses advanced circulatory massage techniques to address overuse symptoms both athletes and non-athletes.
- Deep Massage at Lauterstein-Conway is based on the traditions of Rolfing, Zero Balancing and other advanced bodywork disciplines. It is based on the myofascial anatomy and offers the therapist a gentle approach to address deeper muscle layers.
- Clinical Massage Therapy addresses musculoskeletal problems for clients with specific complaints and injuries related to acute injury, poor posture, movement imbalances and/or life stresses.
Please check with your physician if you are not sure you are a good candidate for massage.
The student clinic is a supervised setting. Our semi-private room has several tables in the same room, each separated by curtains for client privacy. We create a completely relaxing and quiet space with soft lighting and music in which the instructor can quietly pass through to silently observe student work.
