About the Workshop:


Headaches are one of the most common health complaint in America. Many people have resigned themselves to living with chronic pain. This class will give you a better understanding of headaches and provide some new tools and approaches that you can add to your skill set.

In the morning:

  • Focused anatomy of the head and neck
  • Physiology and etiology of headaches
  • Bodywork strategies for headaches

In the afternoon:

  • Demo and practice with a partner
  • Deep Massage techniques for head, neck and chest
  • Acupressure sequence for headache and sinus relief

About the Instructor:

Jason Hammond_small


Jason Hammond is an acupuncturist, a massage therapist, a martial artist, and a teacher. He is devoted to helping his clients cultivate wellness and recover from sickness or injuries. Jason is a graduate of Lauterstein-Conway Massage School and AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine. He holds a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and he is pursuing additional studies in Classical Acupuncture with Dr. Edward Neal of the Xinglin Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine. He joined the faculty at the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in 2013. He teaches massage therapy basics required for state licensure, advanced studies in orthopedic massage, and continuing education seminars.

Jason holds Certifications in Zero Balancing and Deep Massage, and is a Deep Massage Certified Instructor. Jason has studied Chinese martial arts since 2000. He currently holds the rank of Associate Master with two 5th degree black belts. He continues to train and teach at North Austin Shaolin-Do under the guidance of Senior Master Joe Schaefer.
