Many people don't know that the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, a corporation owned 50/50 by John Conway and David Lauterstein, has a third board member, non-owning. This is Paul Brown. When David and John first started the school, they were told it would be wise to have a trusted advisor as a third party to help arrive at consistently even more balanced decisions. At that time, David and John thought of Paul and he has been a close associate ever since.
Paul Brown is a life coach and psychotherapist who has worked with individuals, groups and corporations for 30 years. He is certified in Transactional Analysis with graduate studies at University of Chicago and University of Illinois. He personally studied with and was certified in hypnotherapy by Milton Erickson, the most famous hypnotherapist of the 20th century. He also studied body- centered psychotherapy with Malcolm Brown.
Paul Brown lives in Chicago. David first brought him down to teach workshops in Austin when David and John were associated with the Texas School of Massage Studies (1985-1989). Then, when they founded TLC, they continued with Paul initially coming down once a month to help coach the growth of their young school and to see individuals and groups as a psychotherapist.
Paul has now come down to Austin from Chicago every single month for 20 years! How is that for devotion!!!
