Massage Tips for Clients!

What is an Ethical Massage Therapist?

Graduate Clinic Massage Therapist

The professional massage therapists in the TLC Graduate Clinic have a minimum of 500 hours of professional training and massage experience.

Because each massage therapist has his or her own specialized knowledge and experience, the clinic staff will be happy to help match client needs and requests for specific work when booking a Graduate massage session.

massage therapistCatherine Barton, LMT Graduated from the 550 hour program at Lauterstein-Conway in 2006, with training in Swedish, Sports, Deep Massage and Structural Bodywork.  She has had additional training in pregnancy massage and is also a licensed aesthetician from the Aveda Institute in San Antonio. Her bodywork style combines elements from the many different massage modalities she has learned over the years and she enjoys customizing a session for each client based their energetic and physical needs.

Austin Massage TherapistRobert Sierra, LMT has been a resident of Austin, Texas since 1998 and is a graduate of the Lauterstein-Conway Massage School.  His professional massage work, independently and through the Lauterstein-Conway Massage Clinic, has been ongoing since graduating and becoming a State of Texas Licensed Massage Therapist in October 2006. Robert's style of massage is interactive by focusing on client goals whether specific (for that session) or longer term (several scheduled sessions). He incorporates various modalities into a single session to be as effective as possible, but he can also concentrate on any of these specific techniques: Swedish, Sports, chair, Deep Massage (the Lauterstein Method) and Shiatsu.

Austin Massage TherapyRachael Wilder, LMT graduated from Lauterstein-Conway Massage School's 550-hour program in 2008. She enjoys using everything she learned to meet clients needs and offers a combination of nurturing touch and effective pressure. Rachael grew up on a river in eastern Minnesota, traversing sandstone cliffs and swimming as often as possible. After a pit stop in college and a number of years traveling and living in "intentional communities," she arrive in Austin in June 2007. Her approach to bodywork is influenced by time living in community, a growing meditation practice, her education at Lauterstein-Conway and her years on this planet. She enjoys holding the balance with her clients and is grateful to work with people in such an amazing, peaceful environment.
