Texas Massage Licensure

What you should know about Massage Therapy Certification and Licensure in Texas:

Lauterstein-Conway Massage School works closely with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services' massage therapy licensing department to ensure the school is meeting and exceeding State standards. Why? Because we are committed to offering the finest massage therapy classes in Texas.

Before choosing a massage school, we encourage all prospective massage students to review the current guidelines for Texas massage therapy classes and schools, so they will have the information they need to make an informed decision about the quality and thoroughness of a school's massage certification classes.

Lauterstein-Conway Massage School is approved by the State of Texas, Department of State Health Services, the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services and the Texas Veterans' Commission. We are also members of the American Massage Therapy Association and the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

Lauterstein-Conway's massage continuing education is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Massage schools are not required to be accredited. They are required to be approved or licensed by the state.

What You Should Know about State Approval and Massage School Accreditation:

Since accreditation does not hold the same meaning for massage schools as it does for traditional secondary education programs, Lauterstein-Conway Massage School feels it can offer a more wholistic massage therapy program and design a more comprehensive and efficient curriculum for its students without the outside involvment of an accreditation agency.

Lauterstein-Conway wants you to be confident in your choice of massage school, so we invite your questions and concerns about accreditation at any time.
