Course Description

Massage is the art of communication through compassionate touch, an art anyone is capable of performing! With this introductory class, you and your partner will learn practical techniques to help each other relax and enhance your relationship. All are welcome; no previous massage experience is necessary. Hannah Ford and Kazuko DeVirgilio, instructors at The Lauterstein-Conway Massage School, will present tips for verbal communication, breathing practice, proper body mechanics, and practical massage techniques to address the scalp, face, hands and feet. For this class, all participants will remain clothed throughout. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring one fitted sheet per couple to cover the massage table. Samples of professional massage lubricant will be provided for use during class, and some will be available for purchase as well.
